The final event for the Spring of Solidarity is an Empty Bowl Dinner, on Wednesday June 6th, at 6:30 p.m., at the New York Society for Ethical Culture (Central Park West at 64th Street).
The event will bring together diverse NYC communities to raise funds and awareness for the food crisis in Kenya. The meal will be traditional Sikh langar, served in a handcrafted bowl from Kenya that guests can choose and keep. The bowl goes home as an unspoken reminder that somewhere someone’s bowl is empty and that we can do something about it!
All proceeds go to The Sri Guru Nanak Food Bank in Nairobi, Kenya.
