KAR SEWA at Darbar Sahib by UNITED SIKHS,ASIA

 

Amritsar, UNITED SIKHS - ASIA, Panjab activist Maninder Singh from Jallandhar performed Kar sewa at Darbar Sahib Amritsar with a group of activists. Maninder Singh, who has been performing Kar sewa since it started on 25th March, reported that a deluge of devotees from all over the world had come to contribute to Ramdass sar sarovar clean-up operation. He said "I am blessed to take part in this Kar sewa. It is a great experience as a Sikh to carry the silt on shoulder. I read this in text books and was looking forward since then." The enthusiasm among devotees is at its pinnacle to complete the job much ahead of its scheduled time.

 

UNITED SIKHS - ASIA, Orissa activist Pyara Singh, 74 said unlike 1973, he didn't want to miss the opportunity of performing sewa at Darbar Sahib. Such an experience can be achieved with the blessing of the compassionate Lord, only once in a lifetime.

 

UNITED SIKH - ASIA, Delhi joined with six other volunteers to perform Kar Sewa. Pritam Singh, New Delhi reported that thousand of ton of sarovar silt has been cleaned from the pool floor and only some repair work on pool walls is left. They will stay in Amritsar and perform sewa till the work is complete.
