PROJECT STARAE WILL PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS WORTH Rs 290,000 to 30 NEEDY AND BRIGHT VILLAGE STUDENTS THIS YEAR.

Kirandeep Kaur and her sister Jatinder Kaur of Ekel Gadda village, Khadoor Sahib, will receive , Rs 51, 575 to fund their education at the St Soldier Day Boarding school until March 05. Funds for their scholarships were procured by UNITED SIKHS, to launch Project STARAE ( Scholarships as A Tool to Accelerate Rural Acedemic Excellence), from two Trusts based at Cambridge University, UK.

 

Since launching Project STARAE, UNITED SIKHS has received pledges and donations from donors in the UK to fund 15 students and we hope to collect more funds to give scholarships to up to 30 students annually. It will cost some RS 12,000 to RS 15,000 per student yearly to cover fees, uniforms and transport. Please contact unitedsikhs-eu@unitedsikhs.org if you wish to donate.
