Following the 1st Global Sikh Civil Rights Conference in December 2008, UNITED SIKHS created the Global Sikh Civil Rights Forum to bring together like minded members and organizations together to work collectively and cohesively to advocate for the civil and human rights of the Sikh community, as well as address other serious issues. The forum further developed into regional forums under which working groups cover issues such as civil rights, human rights, education, politics, and gurdwaras.
