Thank you for your email regarding religious right and freedoms.

Jean Lambert, London's Green MEP, has signed the written declaration calling for the preservation of the right for Muslim women across Europe to wear the Hijab. The move is in response to the growing number of countries that have banned or are considering banning the wearing of the Hijab Islamic headscarf. The declaration also calls for the wider respect for religious rights and freedoms extending to the Jewish scull cap, Sikh turban and Christian cross.
