Yangon, Myanmar - On August 6th, 2015, our Myanmar Flood Relief effort began in response to Cyclone Komen, which caused the worst flooding crisis Myanmar has ever seen. Over 1.6 million people were critically affected, and more than 687,200 acres of farmland was damaged. In just 2 weeks, our team distributed 10,000 tons of aid to more than 5,000 individuals in need of food, water, and other basic necessities.

Aid Provided to Over 2000 Affected by Myanmar Flood Crisis

Yangon, Myanmar-On August 6th, 2015, UNITED SIKHS launched the Myanmar Flood Relief 2015 effort to provide aid and assistance to those affected by Cyclone Komen. These torrential rains have impacted over one million individuals making it one of the worst flood emergencies that Myanmar has ever seen. Immediate humanitarian needs remain acute. In 6 days, 15 team members have provided 9 tonnes of aid to over 2,000 individuals in need.
