Kashmir,India- UNITED SIKHS Aid team, headed by Komal JB Singh, started the second phase of relief kit distribution on October 23, 2014.Since the second phase, over 400 families have been assisted.
UNITED SIKHS Kashmir Relief Team Leader, Amritpal Singh, who has been working on the ground, said: "We distributed blankets and food by indentifying people who need it first. We travelled to the villages where people had been stranded in their homes ever since the floods hit.
The UNITED SIKHS Kashmir Relief Team has been hard at work delivering aid to those who have been left with nothing but the clothes on their backs. With your kind donations and support, our incredible and valiant team has been able to distribute medicine worth 1.5 lakh at Gurdwara Clinic (Bazulla Baghaat), which has become the main rescue clinic where life-saving medicine has been distributed.

A state of emergency has been declared in Kashmir as the areas of Jammu, Srinagar, Pulwama, Shopian and Anantnag are battling one of the worst floods in decades. Jammu is located in the mountainous vicinity and fears are growing for victims as the weather will soon be turning cold.
The deadly floods in Kashmir are continuing to cause scenes of mayhem, displacement and uncertainty. The areas of Jammu, Srinagar, Pulwama, Shopian and Anantnag are battling one of the worst floods in decades.
