Chandigarh: TIMES NEWS NETWORK To Meet Ambassador Today To Highlight Problems Faced By The Community In France Disputing French embassy's claim that there was no ban on turbans in public places, United Sikhs, along with a few prominent Sikh faces, plan to meet the French ambassador in New Delhi on Thursday to highlight problems being faced by the community in France.
AMRITSAR: Various Sikh bodies have asked Punjab government whether it took up the issue of turban ban with the visiting French president Francois Hollande during his visit to Chandigarh.
CHANDIGARH, Punjab—United Sikhs and various other Sikh organizations have targeted Punjab chief minister Parkash Badal for not taking the turban issue being faced by Sikhs in France seriously.
Jalandhar: Only a Sikh NGO has managed to submit a memorandum to visiting French President through the French authorities on the issue of ban on turban in public schools in France, while Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee could not take up the issue either through a memo or a meeting.
