UNITED SIKHS volunteers in Santa Ana recently received a certificate of Recognition from Orange County for their compassionate and selfless service in the community. Two months after powerful landslides demolished homes, dismantled towns and displaced many families in Peru, UNITED SIKHS is working to help residents rebuild. New York, NY : In 2016, there were 28.6 million Americans without health insurance. We've found that in many cases, New Yorkers don't sign up for health insurance because they believe it's unaffordable. Little do they they know, with New York State of Health's (NYSOH) Essential Plan coverage could be as little as $20 a month for qualifying residents - or in some cases nothing at all.
ALERT To Gurudwaras - Be Vigilant

"Given the current climate of our country, and other parts of the world, we advise Gurudwaras to step up their security measures, especially following Sunday's deadly mosque attack in Quebec, " Gurvinder Singh, Director for the UNITED SIKHS said. Following the Quebec shooting, America's largest police force, the NYPD, announced it would provide additional protection for mosques in New York city. UNITED SIKHS is also asking worshippers in Gurdwaras to be vigilant.
