From July 10, 2017 to July 14, 2017 UNITED SIKHS will hold its 2017 annual SIKH SUMMIT. During the SUMMIT, Sikhs from around the country and the world will meet U.S. representatives in DC to address the concerns of the Sikh community including the increase in hate crimes against Sikhs, allowing Sikhs to self-identify in the 2020 Census, adequate reporting of hate crimes by law enforcement, discrimination against Sikhs throughout history and other topics.

Melbourne, Australia-UNITED SIKHS and the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara Craigeburn honoured on Sunday the principal and a teacher from the Mother of God Christian school in the Ardeer suburb of Melbourne. They were honoured for showing their Christian spirit on 24 th March when they re-tied 5 year old Mansage Singh's Patka, a head wear worn by Sikh children.
