The movement launched by NGO United Sikhs will have several events ahead of 2020 US census to pressurise US government to print 'Sikhs' on the census form .
AMRITSAR: Incidents of hate crime against Sikhs in the US have not deterred the community but have instead firmed their resolve to fight back and educate fellow Americans about their religion and identity, a Sikh body has said. UNITED SIKHS, a US based NGO states in a community update that late Saturday night leading into early Sunday morning, Orlando, Florida was stunned by a devastating hate-crime when 29-year-old Omar Mateen entered the Pulse nightclub (an LGBT community based social lounge), and gunned down more than 49 individuals, also wounding 53 others. The incident took place around 2:00 am, and after a three-hour stand-off, Orlando police shot and killed the gunman.

Brussels, Belgium - Three terrorist blasts rocked the Belgian capital earlier today, two at the Brussels Zaventem international airport and one at Maelbeek metro station and striking fear in the heart of the European Union just days after a manhunt captured a key suspect, in last year's Paris massacres.
