June 14th is World Blood Donor Day. UNITED SIKHS has started an online campaign to register UK Sikhs as blood donors by joining the efforts of Sant Anoop Singh Ji and in collaboration with the UK National Health Service (NHS) and the World Health organization.
There are about 1.4 million active donors in the UK - comprising about 2% of the population. There are about 700,000 Sikhs in the UK , hence our target is to register 14,000 UK Sikhs as potential blood donors.
