UNITED SIKHS Joins Khalsa Academy and Snatam Kaur for Simran Workshop

Empowerment and Education are fundamental concepts in Sikhi and that is why UNITED SIKHS has an entire directorate dedicated to it.

This week UNITED SIKHS – Canada will be working with Khalsa Academy by assisting at “An Evening of Nam Simran” with Snatam Kaur.

This workshop offers the opportunity to learn and practice the quantum technology of sound current. Through chanting and meditation, one can experience the combined effect of body, mind and spirit. This workshop is targeted to the youth, regardless of background. Please join us in the universal chanting and prayers and uplift the consciousness of humanity.

19th April, NJ:Blood Drive at Glenrock New Jersey: Severe Shortage of Blood in New Jersey

donorandlisaannebrosnan20th April 2009: UNITED SIKHS  Sikh Aid co-ordinator, Paramjit Kaur, conducted a blood drive with the ”Community Blood Services” donation Center at the Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Glenrock, New Jersey.  25  people registered to donate blood out of which 21 were able to donate blood. The message was very clear to the donors that there is a shortage of blood supply in New Jersey and we urge all New Jerseyeans to donate their blood. As per the statisitcs, “New Jersey hospitals were forced to spend an estimated $18 million to $24 million in 2007 to buy precious supplies from other states, according to health and business experts who are banding together Wednesday to announce a statewide blood donation campaign.”

  “A single donation can save up to three lives,” Health and Senior Services Commissioner Heather Howard has said.
