SP, SHO booked for removing protester's turban

MOHALI: A case was registered on Wednesday against superintendent of police (detective) Pritam Singh and phase-VIII police station SHO Kulbhushan Sharma for removing the turban of one of the protestors, who had laid siege to the road outside PCA stadium on March 28.

On Monday deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal had issued directions to Mohali police to register a case under section 295 (A) (causing hurt to religious sentiments) of the IPC against the two officers.
