Press Release

Grant me this boon that I shall never refrain from a righteous act

Dear UNITED SIKHS supporters

Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh

We have fought the Right To Turban battle relentlessly for the last five years. We ask you today to back us financially so that we may meet our shortfall of $150,000 (USD) that we have spent defending the right to wear the turban of 13 Sikhs in France and Belgium. When we started this battle we had no budget for it. But we were confident that you will back us to the end. We assure you that whilst we have employed the best legal team to present the best legal arguments, we have managed to keep our expenses low. This was achieved by the pro-bono services of the Sikh members of the legal team who spent 4000 unbilled hours on these cases, for the last five years

On December 15th 2008, UNITED SIKHS lawyers filed the first three turban cases before the UN. You may read more about it at https://www.unitedsikhs.org/PressReleases/PRSRLS-15-12-2008-00.htm
