Why does UNITED SIKHS matter to me?

Dear Supporter Ji,

Whenever I meet people one of the first things they always ask me is, "What led you to work for UNITED SIKHS?"

My interest in the non-profit field has grown within me since I was very young. I knew that I always wanted to help those who are less fortunate and those who are fighting for religious freedom across the globe. Through their humanitarian aid mission, I knew that UNITED SIKHS was the organization that would not only allow me to assist others, but would also give me the opportunity to give back to the Sikh community and conduct the Sewa of our Gurus on a daily basis.

My passion for helping others and creating a positive impact in the world led me to pursue a Masters in International Politics during which I realised that Sikhs, and other minority communities worldwide, continue to face a number of injustices. I wanted to be part of an organization that would advocate for justice. This is just one of the many reasons why UNITED SIKHS matters to me.

Every day, I get to work with a fantastic team of passionate individuals within the United States, United Kingdom, India, and 8 other countries, who continuously work hard to ensure that Sikhs and minority communities across the globe are well represented and assisted. That is the beauty of the international organization.

As the Executive Development Officer, I am fortunate enough to work on some inspiring and life changing projects such as the GurKirpa Health Network in Panjab, Kashmir Relief, and several diverse fundraisers year round.

I promise to do my part by guaranteeing that we are able to raise funds to meet our goals, and help all those in need wherever they may be,to the best of my ability.

I am blessed to do sewa for a living, with a team who inspires and challenges my dedication and passion every day. I am motivated when I see so many lives touched in so many ways by our team of staff and volunteers.

I hope you share the same dream with me, of touching people's lives in one form or another. You can do so by making your year-end tax deductible donation today so we can continue with our commitment to you and the global community.

The work we do would not be possible without you. Thank you! I wish you and your family a very happy, healthy, and prosperous new year.

In Chardi Kala,

Jaipreet Kaur
