"The priority for the next 24 hours is  rescue. During this stage it is critical to supply food, water and emergency supplies to survivors. After 72 hours the priority will shift to recovering dead bodies and restoring critical services," said Lt Col Gurbachan Singh, UNITED SIKHS Humanitarian Coordinate Director.

The UNITED SIKHS team is making its way to Haiti to assess the situation and setup a base camp. The Sikh Aid team will be distributing emergency survival kits including food, water, blankets. The team will also be providing emergency health services to the injured.

Your donation of any amount could help save lives by providing food, water, temporary shelter, medical services and emotional support to people in need.

We urgently need volunteers who can afford time and travel for the relief effort. If you can, please donate now to help us meet the urgent needs of Haiti's earthquake survivors.

While helping the victims on the ground, we offer our prayers and deepest sympathies to all of the victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti.
