GHANAIA Katrina Hurricane Relief - an appeal for emergency material Supplies

UNITED SIKHS is appealing to the public for Emergency supplies needed for the GHANAIA Katrina relief project in the hurricane devastated areas of New Orleans, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. These supplies will be distributed to the people who remain stranded without food, water and other essentials in the affected areas. This will also help to stabilize one of the biggest disasters to ever afflict the United States of America. Thousands are feared to have perished in the wake of hurricane and floods or while waiting for help to arrive. Your donations will assist in relieving the suffering of the people overcome by Hurricane Katrina and begin the recovery from this great tragedy.

We request the public to collect the relief supplies in their Gurdwaras (Sikh place of worship) and mail them to the UNITED SIKHS's base camps established at the following locations:

UNITED SIKHS will be working with local Gurdwaras (Sikh place of worship) to provide langar (hot meals), water and daily supplies to the disaster victims.

If you cannot send the containers, please donate in cash and supplies will be purchased for the relief effort.
