UNITED SIKHS' first EduCare center was set up in Richmond Hill, New York, in May 2006 as a response to social challenges faced by minority communities today. Educare Centers are being planned for UK, Canada and India.

The EduCare Center provides one-stop Community Education with Care with a dual purpose : Firstly, to cater for recent migrants who need to equip themselves with new life skills. Secondly, to quench the spiritual and cultural thirst of many generations of minorities.

The Educare Centre is a hub where the community can learn panjabi and English as a second language; gain spiritual knowledge and computer skills; receive homework coaching and mentoring; practise gatka martial art; promote fitness and health; obtain counselling and legal advice, as well as develop their creativity through the arts and traditional handicrafts.

The Educare Centre provides services to enrich and inspire the local Sikh and Punjabi community, especially women, youths and the elderly. However, in keeping with the Sikh principle of, ‘sarbat da bhala,’ -service for the good of all – anyone in need is welcome.
